Duncan Craig Announces the 24th Annual Laurel Awards

Sol Rolingher, QC, Senior Counsel at Duncan Craig LLP, announces that 52 nominations were received seeking the coveted Gold, Silver, Bronze, Staff Choice and Audience Choice Laurel Awards. This year marks the 24th Anniversary of the Duncan Craig LLP Laurel Awards to be celebrated at a luncheon at the Chateau Lacombe on September 12, 2018.

Sol Rolingher stated, "The Laurel Awards were developed to celebrate Duncan Craig's centenary in 1994 and the firm's ongoing commitment to community service. The Laurel Awards annually recognizes the outstanding contribution and successes of not-for-profit organizations in the Greater Edmonton Area."

Laurel Awards nominees' achievements are evaluated based on their unique innovation and creativity, regardless of size or overall budget. Mr. Rolingher added, "We are honoured to show support for these groups for what they are doing in and for our community and to recognize their very important contributions to the quality of life of all those who live in this wonderful city of ours."

Upwards of 400 guests are expected to attend this year's luncheon.

Her Honour, the Honourable Lois E. Mitchell, CM, AOE, LLD, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta will provide a Toast to the Queen.

The keynote speaker, Kathy Hawkesworth, LLB TEP, is the Director of Donor Services at the Edmonton Community Foundation and will present the Gold Laurel Award, Minister of Culture and Tourism Ricardo Miranda will present the Silver Laurel Award, and City Councillor Jon Dziadyk will present the Bronze Laurel Award.
